South Carolina! September 4, 2012

 Here is the most recent letter from Elder Nair! He is officially now in South Carolina!

Hey sorry it's taken so long to write back. I didn't get a real P-day since yesterday and since it was labor day the library was closed, so we're doing our email today.

That's so great to hear about Brandon and his family! Keep up the good work with them. I know Heavenly Father will bless you with the knowledge of things to do for them as you continue to recognize his hand in the work. Tell Arianne congratulations for me! That's awesome news. She's going to love being on a mission.

I arrived in South Carolina just fine and am doing well. We arrived at the mission home shortly after we landed. President and Sister Holm are awesome. We had a little bit of orientation for the first two days while we were at the mission home. On Wednesday we had transfers so we all found out where we were going and then went straight there. I'm serving in Gaston, SC right now. The people here are great and all really nice. I'll be here for at least 12 weeks while I’m being trained. My trainer is Elder Memmott. He's great. Things are going really well and we have some solid investigators at the moment. I'm excited about this work and enjoying it……. I'm biking a lot and walking on dirt roads and stuff. I'll be alright for now though. On Saturday we got to teach this couple……. who've been investigating for about five months. They've had some trouble making and keeping commitments for a long time …… Saturday though we got them to say a prayer asking for strength and the Spirit just filled the room. It was an amazing experience and my companion thanked me ………. I loved it. This work is awesome and having the Spirit with you while doing it is so important. I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father for allowing me to serve him in this manner.

As far as everything else I'm doing well. A mission is a lot of work but I'm enjoying every bit of it.

Sorry I have not done great at updating the blog! I have not received any letters till this week. I had Josetta forward some to me. Here is his letter from 8/15 along with some pictures..

"Hey, it's me! Whatsup? The MTC is sooooo great! Things are amazing here. Wednesday's my P-day so that's when I'll be able to email you guys. I don't even know where to begin with all of this. Things are just so fantastic. I got here just fine, if you got my letter you should know all about that :D. You guys got it right? Anyways, we have a lot of classes. The first day was super exhausting. The first three days actually, but it's awesome at the same time. Tons and tons of classes. They're all really insightful though. Hook me up with up with Solomon and Amanda's emails when you get the chance. This is the email you can write me back at. I'll write you guys every Wednesday while I'm here. I'm not sure when our P-day will be while we're in the field. I've seen lots of people I know here. Elder Peter Riser, just ran into him not too long ago, Elder Cameron Jarrell from the first ward and Elder Oscarson from the second ward. I got called to be a district leader which is awesome. It's been a great learning experience and everything. I really got to be an instrument in the Lord's hands and help a missionary in my district decide to stay out here and abandon his concerns about leaving. This has been a great calling in general. I have a great district. You just hang with them most of the time. Most of them will be in South Carolina with me which is cool. The Spirit is so strong here. It's amazing how much you learn. Let Amanda know that I'm not terribly concerned with updating my Facebook. I'll probably add a little blurb on it like, every six months or something. At the moment I'm just really into the work and that. We got to go to the temple today which was great. That's about it. Let me know what you guys want to hear about other than that.
